Quick update with more to come soon:
Linnea Melise was born at 7:30 am on July 4th after 32 hours of labor. She surprised us all at 8 lbs 13 oz, and 21.5 inches long, her size having been hidden by a giant, very healthy placenta.
Both baby and mama are doing very well after transferring 24 hours into labor for pain relief and rest.
We’re all in love.
Ahhhh! I’ve been waiting to see a picture of your sweet new bundle! Congratulations to all of you. Oh man–new baby snuggles. Sigh.

Oh my goodness! Congratulations! And another biology-themed name. Very complementary! Enjoy each other and good luck with the transition to life with four humans.

Thanks! Yeah her name took us forever. I originally got it from Linnea in Monet’s garden, then it just fit in so many ways!

Darwin is doing really well! Better than I could have hoped, actually. She has a little jealousy, and talks about being sad about MamaLee, but then she’ll run and give her a hug, and kiss Linnea, and is just generally awestruck. 🙂

That so awesome…and I’m curious, how do you pronounce her name? LynnEEuh? LynAYuh? LinEE? LinAY? I don’t want to be mispronouncing it when i read…LOL..one of those things! Like when you read a book and realize that Hermione is not Her-me-one? LOL!

Oh my gosh, I have had so many conversations about how to say things aloud after learning by reading lately! Totally relate! We say it Lin-eh-ah 🙂
