Today started at 5:45, just as the sky was beginning to lighten. I actually had to wake Darwin up because by 6:10 we had to be out the door to take MamaLee into town for a shoulder surgery that has been almost a year in coming. Our next 4-6 weeks are going to revolve around keeping her shoulder safe, lots of ice, pain meds, and physical therapy. This is on top of working and caring for Darwin. I’m taking a page from everyone else who juggles 9 million things at once (seriously, over there at Impossibly Royal, 4 kids under four on your own for five days? You amazing me!) and taking things one hour (or half-hour. or minute) at a time. Best part of the day was all the love that came our way starting almost the moment we woke up. That, and this kid:
I have the best wife ever. I have been so well taken care of!

That is the cutest selfie I have ever seen. The grin in his eyes is priceless.

Thanks 🙂 Dar is about the happiest baby I’ve ever known. She was so happy when she was born she didn’t even want to cry 😉

No worries at all, in my experience babies are pretty much without gender outside of what we place upon them 🙂

Lok at her face! Despite the coming craziness, she’s completely oblivious…that always helps me! And good luck to your lady with the surgery! Wishing her a speedy recovery (and maintained sanity for you both!)
